INTRODUCING KYLIE...

Kylie was expected to come Aug. 24, but although the doc said the baby was small, I knew this one had a mind of its own, for it kept  all of us waiting for 10 days! She was an "it" for her parents did not want to know the gender of the baby till "it" was born.

I saw "her" in a dream a week before she was due. I knew it was this baby because she looked very much like her older brother, who is three years old right now. I saw her as a 2 -3 year old toddler, walking in her yammies (pyamas) outside by the chickens, with a looong necklace. I kept this little secret for myself:)

. I wonder who needed the nap more...daddy or Kylie?

Jazzed  that her mom did not have to be induced, which would have happened if she would still be pregnant on Labor Day. Well, the labor was done
before Labor Day
and Kylie came Sept. 3!

And she had a steady stream of visitors, since then. All the cousins, and aunties, uncles wanted to share their shoulder with her.

Thanks guys for the nice welcome! I came 8 days later, just because
I wasn't ready yet:)   I'm 6 pounds
and I've been gaining weight since. No need to worry!

Congratulations to you all - what a little sweetie she is! Just one word of warning - my eldest was late too (very late) and it seems to have been his character shining through. He's not been on time for anything since, either!

Congratulations with the new and cute addition to the family. She sure was worth waiting for. Maybe they had gotten their dates wrong. Poor little mite. She knew when she was ready to be born. She was little as it was. No need to induce labor. My son was 10 days late too. He came when he was ready to be born. Hurray for Kiley.

Lorenzo,
Thank you! hope to "see" you more:)

Stephanie,
her parents adore her, as well as her big brother!

Twain,
Thank you, she'a little cutie:)

Floss,
I knew she had a mind of her own! She's in the right family then, because all other members are fast-paced:)

Irene,
Now I come to think of it, we totally forgot about the "beschuit met muisjes" tradition while we were visiting LOL

California,
Thank you friend! Me thinks in a few years she will be the one to tell her older brother what to do!

With grandchildren it's like with kids - love 'em not matter what:) (nice thing is that I don't have to discipline them!)

They are all sweet when they only eat and sleep:) Maybe you misunderstood: she was 10 days late.

Jeanette, thanks for coming over and commenting on my blog. Yes, the Westra clan hails from Friesland. My understanding is that Friesland is not very big so its not common to find someone who knows of it or better yet, also comes from the area. So glad you shared that with me.

Congrats on the newest member of your family. What a sweetie :)

Congratulations on your new little daughter! That's happy news! Look at the expression on her face in the bottom photo. She already looks quite aware of what is happening around her. And how mysterious it is that you dreamed of her before she was born...as though she was introducing herself to you. What a happy dream. :)

Susanna,
I know, the dream was a nice introduction! I like all my dreams to be that way!! Maybe you misunderstood, the young woman in the last pic is the mommy, and I'm the Nana. It's okay though, I didn't make it clear in my post.
