BEFORE IT GETS TOO COLD OR WINDY

Before the weather is turning and racing towards a full blown Fall, I would say,
play as hard as you can outside!

ENJOY ART ANYWHERE -
a sculpture on the boardwalk -
it lifts the spirits to see something beautiful
(seen in the harbor of San Diego)

EXPLORE -
follow a path you never saw before -
(seen in the area of Grass Valley)

TAKE TIME-
to smell the roses, before their bloom is gone
(from own previous backyard)

TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED -
Got a kick out of the intriguing shadows of these palms on this wall.
As long  as the sun shines, there will be shadows:)
And that window -masterful sculpted work!
(seen in Balboa park ; click on image to enlarge)

SAVOR PRECIOUS MINUTES -

the last minutes of daylight
(pic is more interesting when you click on it to enlarge and see the red lights)

Autumn's gentle reminder that time does not stand still, beautifully captured!

To a beautiful and safe fall,
cheers,

With you artist's eyes you see beauty in places many of us don't. Do you think it's because I've stopped seeing the world through rose colored glasses? I am such a cynic now. I don't see the beauty much anymore. I miss that.

Thanks, Jeanette, for the reminder to enjoy it while it lasts. I just finished the last of the fresh pears from the farm. And we've brought in all the squash. The garden is mostly empty now, waiting for next spring.

My favorite time of year! And the signs of fall are even showing in Las Vegas now with temps dipping down into the 70's this week!

Anna-Lys,
Thank you:) You are so poetic!
Two deaths in one week in my circle of friends reminded me that we have to live our life like it was our last day!

Merisi,
It's good that life does not stand still!

You are wishing me to "fall safe-ly?" (Did you get the play on words?)
Sorry, but I couldn't resist that one:)

Irene,
Misschien heb je teveel "nuchtere" mensen rondom je? To see beauty one sometimes has to ignore ugliness. (ignore - as long as we don't deny!)

Stephanie,
Sounds like you enjoyed the harvest of your garden!

Debbie,
The inevitable happened - while I'm writing this somment it's 65 degr. and raining outside!

Vicky,
So true - I like to savor my summer as a drink to the last drop!

Linda,
So thankful to live in California -we are really spoiled here with so many beautiful things around us!

Randy,
When I was browsing your blog, my thought was that you really love Santa Fe -very inspiring!
