MY KIND OF SPRING CLEANING

Please scroll down to the bottom of this post for Midweek Blues and Watery Wednesday:)

That itch that many have this time of year to clean, paint, remodel? I don't have it!
What I do have is that itch to learn new techniques, try out new color combinations, especially new brushes, new paper!
 When I close up this Cotman watercolor palette, it's smaller than my hand;
with my watercolor block it easily fits in most of my purses/bags

Usually I like to paint with big brushes, large size papers, canvas, what have you,
until that one year
I gave in to the impulse to buy this, because at that time it was NEW. And I haven't been sorry, for whenever I foresee that light packing would be necessary because of hiking, or just being a short time on one spot,
I'll put what you see on the pic above in a shoulderbag.
Blue tape on my brushes, because one time these brushes with transparent handle ended up in my garbage bag! Ugh, I'm learning:)
For Midweek Blues, hosted by Rebecca

Can you imagine balancing a big palette and paper block while painting on this bridge? Since I dropped my other bigger palette in a fast moving river in Yosemite one year, I'm more careful about where I put my painting gear!
By the way, hubby took the pic above when he with the rest of the family came back from their hike to the top of the mountain. So I'm not posing, but really painting:). That was last week, so it could go under the heading of Spring jitters

This is what I was painting, which is underneath  the bridge

That is on the side of the bridge.
Both for Watery Wednesday, hosted by 2sweetnsaxy

So far, so good. I'll give you the end result of my watercolor sometime:)

I envy your talent for painting!

Yep, I bet you were mighty upset when you saw your painting gear fall into the fast moving current!

A lovely scene to view and paint!

It's through our mistakes that we all learn. :)

Good idea with the blue tape! I can relate to your fear of dropping stuff. I was photographing the Delaware River from a bridge and was concerned about dropping my camera into the water.

Oh that is so pretty.

Come see my watery Wednesday, have a lovely day!

Oh no....dropped into the river! Oh boy that would be a lesson to learn. Can't wait to see the finished product.

EG Wow,
My first reaction was shock, because that was the first time ever in my life. Then when I realized that it was because of my carelessness, that's when the world came to an end:)

Anya,
Hope that you do at least one thing for yourself (you're old enough and your kids have grown, so...all reasons to make more time for you:):) Hugs.

Carletta,
Yeah, I'm one of those who can't make mistakes:)

Luna Miranda,
Because I originally come from a very flat land (Holl) I love everything that has to do with mountains!

Hazelicious,
Thanks and also for visiting my blog!

Greysacle,
If I wouldn't have been painting, I would have spent the same time on just gazing at those water currents:)

Nikki,
Thank you and also for visiting my blog!

Woody,
When it's about our hobby/interest most of us (like me) are emotionally attached to our stuff!

Chubskulit,
perused your blog - your kids are so cute -muse have your hands full - so I don't know how you can find time to do a few blogs too!

Rebecca,
thanks, Friend! Not to mention that dropping stuff is so unlike me:)

Lindsey,
Thanks -I noticed on the blog that people like these kind of details
Also thanks for visiting this blog!

Icy BC,
Thank you for visiting!Your blog is very nice with all that info!

Dianne,
Beautiful landscape is always inspirational, isn't it!

Cildemer,
Thank you! I noticed when people come from countries where a lot of famous painters come from, it is easier for them to relate to painting.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the week!

You have pretty scenery to paint, Jeannette. :) Oh yes, I am glad for the blue tape.
Is it duck/duct tape? :)

Jim,
Thank you! - it's one my hubby's rolls of tape, often used in painting walls and windows.

That's a neat hobby to have - just watch out about dropping things in rivers! Thanks for visiting my WW. Enjoy the day!

Linnea,
Your advice about dropping things in rivers is well taken:)
Yeah, up to the next WW!
