A Thank you to all the hosts

A beautiful sunset is the End of a Perfect Day

This light will go on soon
and the reflection in the light will transform
with the darkening of the sky.

Saving the best for last, YOU!
All of you who read my posts, also the ones who
are not on the follow widget,
with my African Violets that are in bloom right now!

Note: reflection in the glass of the light is of the street and house across the street.

What a wonderful link from those power towers marching up the hill against a perfect sunset to a lamp on the front porch at home.

A very dramatic sky! A neat street reflection in that lamp.

It looks like the sky is on fire in the first photo and what a very clean light you've got.

Beautiful sunset photo. I love your lamp, it looks like it has crystal lense, like the old lighthouses used to have, they reflected the light so much more.
I love African violets, have you ever tried planting them in an old aquarium, with a natural rock and pebble landscape, they do really well that way, it creates a humidity they seem to appreciate.

Lovely post and Jeannette I bet I'm not your only virtual friend not counted in that 201. (I blog on a different format and I don't think I can list myself as a friend.) But I follow you ! And love your pictures.

Your African Violets are looking nice and healthy. They make great indoor plants don't they.

The easel image under the header is sheer magic, I imagine sitting in that light, filtered by the tall trees, the small of the woods, the air, wondrous!

The sunset looks spectacular.

I have African violets in bloom too. Some of my most 'faithful' indoor plants ;)

Tina,
Thank you, Friend:)

Weaver,
Took these pics while I was traveling to my kids -good to get out!

Stephanie,
Wow, I thought no one would see the power towers -you have a sharp eye!

Mama Z,
Thank you so much!

Eileen,
Thank you for your kind words!

Karen,
We are very fortunate in California that we have very few grey skies!

Irene,
The fiery sky is at our first gas-stop. The light is at my daughter's house.

Write Girl,
We are very spoiled with sunsets here!

Lady Fi,
I've been watching so many stunning views at your blog, I thought I've got to look for "something good." (just kidding)

Tatjana,
Thank you! Great to see you here so often:)

'Tsuki,
Thank you so much 'Tsuki! Some weeks are better than others in finding the right pics:)

Joey,
Am so happy to see you more in blogland! So how are your new glasses working out?

Jackie,
Thanks for your visit! I'm such a citykid, I know zilch about gardening, etc. Can imagine that the violets like humidity (because they come originally form Africa?)

Leah,
Thank you for your visit! I'll go soon to your blog!

Sallie,
And you're a friend I "see" often - I like that:)

Pieces of Sunshine,
Yes, amazingly they're doing well (no green thumb, lol!)

Denise,
How are you doing, Denise? Somehow we both got more and more followers and not enough time to visit everyone. Great to "see" you back!

Diane AZ,
Thank you, Diane! Am glad you like this post:)

James,
Thank you James! Has the move to California been beneficial for you and your wife?

Merisi,
Oh, wish I could stay there forever!Have to check if you succeeded in the FB thing we were talking about:)

Monika,
Your comment made me smile -one of the hardy ones, I won't kill, lol!

Your African Violets are lovely. At least once a month I think I should get some plants that bloom for my house. Problem is, I don't have a green thumb, and neither does our house angel, the supposed gardener. And honey has no interest. That is mostly because we are surrounded by green tropical lushness, and there's almost no need for extra internal plants. Still... when I see yours...

[Thanks for the compliment on my hibiscus shots... but no, no macro lens... not yet. Am faking it with one all round lens. And yeah, xie xie, with its double fourth tone, does NOT roll off the tongue at all! LOL!]
