LIVE A LITTLE, LIVE A LOT

For Watery Wednesday   For Alphabe -    For Sky Watch   For Floral Friday
For Flowers from Today   For Weekend Reflection
For scenic Sunday

Three Boats
a Still Life
of a Good Life
so easily forgotten
that constant worry or toil
won't make life easier

to envy my neighbor's yacht
won't make me richer,

Live a Little
Live a Lot
fragrance of petals ever lingering
 taking the thorns in stride

                                                    the golden end

Thanks for the reminder of summer... We've been having very cold and snowy winter here lately!

I like your poetic sentiment - envy is a waste of time. The photo is wonderful.

I love your pics and your thoughts to go with them. A bit of wisdom... Visit me when you have time to enjoy the new music videos I'm making.

I love both pictures, especially the color combination of yellow, blue and orange of the first one.
So beautiful, Jeannette.

These are cute little boats. I have never been to Balboa Island.

When you have time, go visit the Arboretum, start early because the place is so huge, one day is not enough. The cactus garden is so pretty too.

Tina,
Thanks so much, Tina!

Jake,
You're welcome! And thanks for visiting here:)

Monika,
Hate to tell you this, but these photos were taken 2 weeks ago in January (that's why everyone makes fun of the Californians when they talk about "winter"!)

Stephanie,
I so agree with you - it seems the older I become, the more I'm "so done" with keeping up with the Jones'!

Betsy,
I sometimes forget that a musician does the same thing as a painter, creating all the time! I'll visit soon:)

BeagleAnnie,
Thank you Annie! That whole piece of coast was like that:)

Liz and Maria,
Thank you both and also for visiting here!

Ebie,
It's quite a busy island (like the city), but the coast is nice to take pics:)

The boat picture is really a typical still life, ideal for a painting !

Glorious light and composition in that first shot with the boats.

Lina,
thank you for you kind comment, and also for visiting here!

Gattina,
Yes, I tend to take those kind of photos, because painting keeps in the forefront of my mind:)

Fiona,
Hope that I'll eventually become as good as you are in taking pics:)

Jenny,
Thanks Jenny -you are a truly kind person who always finds the best in the people you encounter:)

Hans HB,

beautiful scene!!!

I love the colorful boats, which could be construed as work or play, both certainly less than a yacht. We have a fishing boat and its upkeep for it the amount we use it, it might as well be a yacht.

Anni,
A novel? I really like that! It seemed only this rose fit with the sea scape:)

Dianne,
This scene evoked my imagination:) Thank you!

Nitwit1,
Oh my, I didn't know the little boats required so much upkeep!

Leah - 2 times,
Thank you so much -I've got to go to your blog!

Pierre - 2 times,
Merci, Pierre! Am looking forward to see more of your art:)
