5 THINGS THAT ARE NOT IN MY BRIEFCASE, BUT SHOULD

Raph challenged his readers to pick up the task he got. This is an easy one for me.
5 things that should be in my briefcase, but that are not:

1. Cell phone - Everyone who know me thinks I'm eccentric because I refuse to carry
one. So maybe it should be in there.
2. mini-DSM (Diagnostic Manual for psychiatric Disorders) - handy to have it with me
3. laptop - to write emergcy letters, so I don't have to scramble and reschedule my
other appointments
4. extra sunglasses - I don't know how many I've lost
5. waterbottle - I live in California, so most of the year I am thirsty, if I have more than one errand to run

Since this post started with Raph I keep referring to him, but of course anyone is welcome to join the fun and comment on this and list your own 5 things.
That is, if it is fun for you!)
What do you (Raph)have in your briefcase? It depends on your job, and maybe also on the day of the week. Most people who do carry a brief case have an appointment book, and some type of notebloc. What is your job description?

Please read now my 3 little questions in my previous post (the one about Sentinel Bridge) :)

So you are neccentric too, Jeannette, in that you don't carry a mobile phone, like me!

This is an easy one Jeanette, I dont have a briefcase!! LOL!! Nor do I carry a handbag. :) Most unwomanly and unbusinesslike I am sure. :)

Joan,
I never bought a briefcase - it was my dad's birthday (I believe) present! The "handbags" I carry are all shoulder bags, for my wallet, keys, etc.- not for show, LOL, but for carrying things (most of my pants/skirts don't have pockets).

LOL!! I make sure everything I buy has pockets. Thnn again, I travel light so most of the time I only have my keys and wallet. I find these little moonbags you strap around your waist are ideal for me as that leaves my hands free for my camera which is always with me.

Joan,
that's what I wear when I go painting en plein air (I call it a beltpack, but it's the same thing)

I went through the 'bag phase', the 'beltpack phase', and now I am in the 'pocket phase'. I buy everyday pants and vests with zippered pockets or I apply, if possible pockets to existing clothes in my possession.
I don't give up my light backpack in which I can carry a waterbottle, a mobile phone, first aid and some stationary.

Duta,
Have to admit, I am to lazy to sew pockets onto my clothes. You are ready for an adventure! I never have first aid with me. Have a great weekend!

The problem with a cell phone is that people think you are available at all times to talk.
When you don't answer your phone at home or in the office, people assume you are not in.
When you don't answer a cell phone, people think you are ignoring them.
