in front of my window

you would see jugglers, muscians,
face painting, a concert
or blowing a ceramic vase in the artist corner
at Balboa Park in San Diego
...if you were here in Old Town Sacramento
you would eat great food,
hamburgers at a BBQ, chicken in a restaurant,
hotdogs at the beach
...if you were here
you would see these flags
waving proudly everywhere

It sure looks like a place to be on any day.
I'm not a huge holiday person, but I really like this one. My neighborhood has a parade and a huge water war. Fireworks at the lake at 9:00, we can see them very well from our back yard. Have yourself a great weekend and holiday!
Have a happy 4th of July, Jeannette. I remember how well this day is celebrated in the States. It was always a fun day with a barbecue and fireworks at the country club. I do miss celebrating that day.

Maybe yo can start a new tradition -there are enough Americans living in Holland that they would want to celebrate it with you! (most of them, probably live in Den Haag, Amsterdam and around Utrecht)
