Spending Thanksgiving in Sacramento, in the morning it rained!
But before it started pouring, quess what!
Turkeys wandering around the neighborhood ON Thanksgiving day!
Heard from the people we visited that it's a common sight, and even peacocks!
(This is not at the country side. but in one of the suburbs of Sacramento!)
But the next day the sun began to shine, so we went out
And had a wonderful sky till sunset!

What a cute story!!! My cousin lives in Sacramento and I've never heard of roaming turkeys!!!
I don't think I would have believed my eyes had I met a flock of turkeys in the street! How amazing! The flower is so pretty and delicate. Nice series.
beautiful photos:)
Visiting for MYM! Hope you can visit me too;)

What a fine contribution to Monday Doorways - turkeys and all! (Since this was in Sacramento, are you SURE those turkeys weren't from the California State Senate or Assembly?!)
Believe it or not I've seen turkeys wandering in the streets in other parts of CA as well. This was a lovely post with the rain kissed flower, and the beautiful pink clouds photos. Thanks for sharing.
pretty yellow flowers, great pictures, loved them :-)
Dropping some love for Mellow Yellow Monday, hope that you can return the favor too.

Good thing there is no peacock and turkey invasion in the neighborhood hehe. I love these photos!
RT
Those are quite brave turkeys!
Beautiful shots. Happy RT!
Mine's here.
I saw wild turkeys all the time when I lived in Folsom, CA. I looked at both of your blogs. I really like your paintings.

Thanks so much for the link -I'll be sure to visit! And thank you for visiting here:)
Chieftess,
Goes to show you, Sac. is more rural than you might think:):)
Inger,
The really amazing thing is that I saw them on Thanksgiving day, which is also known in the USAas "turkey day" because so many will eat turkey! Have a great week, Inger:)
Cassandra,
Thank you -meanwhile I already visited your MYM -have a great week!
Louis,
You're funny, but may they were the Senate turkeys!! Yeah I love unusual doors:)
Betsy,
I've seen wild turkeys before, but not in a surburbian neighborhood:)
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving, Friend!
Wifetoalineman,
Thank you -have a great week!
Carol,
the memes have to fit in my story for the day -since I don't have a photo blog!
Mary,
I wouldn't mind a peacock invasion, because then I could paint them -they're so beautiful!
Chubskulit,
Thank you for the offer, but I'm too busy with art as it is:) Have a great week!
Stephanie,
That's what I thought - since it was Thanksgiving day! Someone might get the same idea as you and I had:):)

Great photos!
Lovely set of pictures from your Thanksgiving.
If those Turkeys knew what day it was, they would be running. Great shots. My WW is up.
Those turkey were brave to be out wandering on Thanksgiving!
haha... I have "the ones that got away" on my Thanksgiving blog entry too.
Those turkeys are braver than I would be!
;)

What marvellous shots! Love the fact that the turkeys are so happy to be alive!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I like the photo of those turkeys strutting their stuff on Thanksgiving day!
The yellow house seems fitting for warm and sunny California; however we saw an all yellow house, here in New Jersey; it doesn't blend with a colder winter day!
What I like about your photo of the sky, is the addition of a hint of evergreen.
Happy Skywatch Friday!
Here in Northern Wisconsin we get flocks of turkeys roaming through our area all the time...they have an attitude about them too! Especially after Thanksgiving when they know things might be a little safer for awhile!
Great shots, love the one of the turkeys. Have a Happy Sunday!
New follower. What a lovely blog you have. I have always wanted to see a 'turkey tribe' walk on by!
How crazy about the wandering turkeys! love the shadows created by the sunlight on the wall.
