Thanks to all the hosts!

This is only one of the two pillars of this bridge in Sacramento.
Not bad, taken from a moving car:)

Later I found another pic with the two pillars of the bridge.
Sorry, slightly skewed view.

Even though living in Southern California, nature may suddenly surprise us,
and traffic comes to a screeching halt (because many Californians
don't know how to deal with fog, lol)

foggy  for Alphabe

The weather is more seasonal, in mid-California, 7 hours North ,
so we were glad to have a sunset at the end of this day!

I love the solidity of this structure. All those straight lines appeal to my sense of order. And the color just glows. Nice choice.

Wow it's yellow no one would miss that. ^_^

Stephanie,
Thank you:) Every time I see the yellow pillars, I like them!

Mary,
Your comment made me think that people who are color blind miss a lot! Thanks for the "follow"!

I love bridges. There are a few in my area. One historic bridge, with a railroad trestle also in the view. I have never found a satisfying photo....but I keep trying.

I like that foggy valley. :)

I like taking pictures when the car is moving and seeing how they turned out. Yours turned out great. Also that fog photo is amazing (alive) and the sunset a delight to the eyes and beauty loving heart.

The fog picture is really amazing!

Never visit the Blue Ridge Parkway for the folks in California who do not know how to deal with fog, just saying is all because it's not uncommon for fog, I mean splitpea soup thick fog, to spill over the mountains onto the parkway. You can't see beyound the hood of your car. It's that bad, trust me! But, I love the atmosphere of such dense fog. =D

Nice bridge views -- and you really scored a homerun (or more) on the memes! Well-covered!

We've noticed that southern CA drivers are afraid of rain. Being from Oregon we thought that was kind of funny as its just a fact of life for us there.

Not bad the bridge if you took it from your car. I love the sunset of the last picture !

Here in Northern California, we're more used to the fog. Especially in San Francisco!

=)

Oh yes, I know that bridge well. Crossing over the Sacramento R. into W. Sacramento. I used to live there in my college days. Ah, memories...

great photographs! I remember when I lived in San Francisco, we had beautiful foggy days... almost every day! I live in Oklahoma now, and I hardly even see fog. {:-Deb

wifetoalineman,
Thank you! It's you! i thought i was on someone elses blog:)

Nitwit1,
Oh, sad. Hopefully you find one that really amazes you:)

Seow wei,
In the US they like to oversize things in building structures:)

Monika,
Thank you, Friend! Any change from the stark blue sky in Calif. I see, I take a pic of!

Naturefoorstep,
Thank you! It's a stretch of road I've taken many pics (because of the hills on both sides):)

Stef,
Thank you for all the compliments, and for visiting here!

JD4DanielsMom,
Thanks, we were at the moment of just driving into it, and I had the camera next to me:)

Cathy,
Peasoup -yeah that's bad! Because I am originally from Holland, I'm used to fog.

Sallie,
It's because many of the blogs I want to visit are on the memes:)
Sallie, it gets even funnier when it rains hard! The freeways come to a stop (which is not funny!)

Gattina,
yeah, I started that habit, and now hubby has taken it over for this pic:)

Sue,
Guess you livehave lived in the N. of CA? Every time we want to visit San Francisco, something comes in-between -sigh:(

Anitamombanita,
Even though I come there a few times a year, because my daughters live there, I've never been to the W-side! Hope they were good memories:)

Storybeader,
Oh so you were a Californian before -San Francisco is different from most CA cities! I've friends in OK- that move must have been an adjustment!

Wonderful sky photos! Love that fog.

Fog is so strange. I'll start out in total fog, drive out of it for a few minutes and then it's so foggy I can hardly see the white line on the road. It comes from living by rivers I suppose. Well, it's better than ice and snow!

Gemma Wiseman said...

Wonderful moody skies! I love the mystery of fog! Love how it seems to re-invent familiar landscapes!

Christina Klas said...

Love that rolling fog! :) As I'm leaving this comment though I see the picture of you "at your easel"... That's fantastic work!

I myself love snow the most, but it does interfere longer with one's life. Thanks for your visit!

Gemma,
The fog, and the night, two landscape changers that I love:)
