HAPPY JULY FOURTH - TO YOU AND YOURS

For SkyWatch  For Pink Saturday   For Scenic Sunday  For Mellow Yellow Monday
For Our World   For ABC -Y
For Midweek Blues
For Outdoor Wednesday
For This or That

Posted early since I'm packing for another celebration, a new grand child named Bree:)
Have preposted two posts for you, so please leave your comments:) while I'll be gone,
also to paint. Miss you all!

Traditional and  Modern style of shapes go well together here.
I'm not sure if this is a Henri Moore sculpture....
Since San Diego is a military "town,"
the street where the military once had a base
is still lined with flags for days like this.. A festive sight!

To the left of the dome is this bell tower.
See the blue and yellow?

Last Year San Diego was statistically no. 1 city in California
to celebrate July 4th. Already the year before that, the traffic was unbelievable.
That's why we're going to Solvang, a picturesque small town,
Danish in origin.

No doubt each Year
they have a concert or an art display here
at the Open Air Theater
at Balboa Park

Borrowing one of hubby's firework captures
at Disneyland he had to do for his class assignment.
I love the colors in this one!

To You and Yours -
 a Happy July Fourth!

I was taken by surprise to see all those 'beach' umbrellas in the audience. And I love the bell tower.

Glorious tower, but I am especially fascinated by the sculpture! It has the flow of a Henri Moore!

Rebecca,
As you see, Californians don't care whether they're at the beach or at a concert -they do whatever they want, lol!

Cathy,
Glad I went to your blog -I like it every much! Thanks for visiting here!

Judy Sheldon,
Thank you, Judy! I'll pass it on to hubby too:)

Seniorhiker,
Glad you liked the items I posted! Hope you have a great week!

Chubskulit,
thank you and have a great week!

Carletta,
Those beach umbrellas at a concert - only in California!
His teacher spent some time with him for the settings:)

Eileen,
Thank you, Eileen! Forgot where you live, in the US or Canada, but hope you have (or had) a great celebration!

Gary,
Thank you -there's so much to see here! Hard to get bored:)

Gemma,
Thank you - I love those buildings too. I can tell you like abstract:):)

Patrick,
It seems you're back from your travels? Great to hear from you again! It's even greater, since it's only 1 1/2 hrs. away from where I live!

Karin,
It was the first time I heard that name when the parents were in that stage of choosing a name - since I like Brie very much, I can think of Bree when I snack on my Brie at night:)

Roger,
A mix of colors is actually easier than to keep everything in one color:):)

Kim,
Thank you! Hope you have a grand day too!

Hello, this is my first visit to your blog, came over via ABC Wednesday and noticed your photos of Balboa Park. I miss that park! We moved north to Long Beach a couple decades ago and it's too far and few between that we get to visit San Diego!
