SCRIBBLE AND DOODLE WINDOW-House in Valley

Do you remember my post Teaching Alley?I believe it was March this year. At the time I was writing it, I didn't know that Alley's mom has had a remarkable increase in health (had walked away from 2 car crashes where she should have died). She is able to drive her car now after 8 years (had vertigo)!! And not too long ago I got an email, that she works one day a week at a place for organic food. Don't you love, when events turn for the better?

My story about the sketch in the Scribble Doodle Window is a short one this time. We were strict with our eating rules for our kids throughout the year. Candy and soda were for special occasions. Except on vacation. In the summer vacations we bought them every day an ice-cream cone after we would come back from hiking. We continued that tradition for our own vacations now!

After the ice cream we would often go to one of the stores. One of them was a book store where they had the photo books of Anselm Adams. Today, while the rest of the family was engrossed in a book, I slipped out, crossed the street, and sat on one of the benches.

Then I saw this building.
The roof was almost invisible, because of the sun shining down on it. The big trees surrounding the building, providing shade. All the buildings in the valley of the National Park were built in cabin style, to fit the surroundings. Before I knew it, I sketched this little treasure, which later I made into an India ink drawing. That is how my family found me.
