GROOVY CIRCLES, MAN

Shocks, in an effort to empty my Picture file on my computer, I discovered that I have more than 16 GB of stuff  when transferring them to my flash drive. In a few days, I hopefully have deleted enough, so I can load up my new vacation pics.
This art event took place last month and hope you enjoy reading it, as much as I enjoyed the "arting" of it.

When I saw him, it was like I stepped back into the seventies. An inspiration to title this post "Groovy Circles."  When different people are participating, it makes for a different atmosphere!

With this art event there was more emphasis on doing things together. One of the collaborations was "a circle painting." Any kind of circle goes, and you can paint as many of as few as you want to. No rules:)

Do you notice that men like to paint circles too?

Another painting several people kept taking turns with, was a large finger painting.

Togetherness not only in painting but also in a dance around the room. Sorry, I'm not used to take pics where people are constantly moving

Playing music together on several instruments

singing and keyboard

But still some individual painting going on too...
this time I took part in everything except the dance, since  I discovered it when they were already in the middle of it...I did play the drum for a little while though (first time:)

This guy can play the most beautiful things on the keyboard for hours with all kinds of sound effects. He's also a composer.

On evenings like this, I sure hope that there is some painting- or art room in heaven, because I could do this every day for the rest of eternity!

Looks like a wonderfully lively, fun time!

That seems too other worldly for me, Jeannette. I like both my feet on the ground. I'm a sober minded Dutch woman, alas.

I would like to play at that art session. It's so easy to get stuck on one kind of artistic expression. Nice to be ale to try a little of everything - and be a kid again.

Teresa,
That's why art is addicting, after one gets just a little skill:)

Irene,
(giggles) You sounds so much like a Dutchman, Irene! But what I've seen of your art is that you are willing to try new things, n'est pas?

Stephanie,
Glad you said that! I think we (people) can prevent a lot of stress by expressing what's inside of us -not only the beautiful, but also the ugly.

The Muse,
Yes, it was both spiritual AND artistic. Without the first, the second becomes just a skill, a performance....
Thought about you many times, and so glad (tell me, how do I reach you for a personal note?) you are in the process of getting back to your playful and artistic self.

Clytie,
I'm enormously grateful that I found the people who organize thes events:)

Oh yes, that first photo is a step back in time! I just visited my neighbor and her house is like an art studio. You would love it, I think. She makes the coolest most unusual figures from clay, her husband makes glass sculptures and their daughter manipulates architectural photography in such a cool way to make impossible images look possible. Even her gardens reflect their artistic tastes.

Yes, my name is German. Hagele with an umlaut is the German spelling. We visited my husband's cousin in Munich last summer, but the family came from Welzheim, Niederndorf and Ottendorf. Family still reside in those villages.

Wow what a fun evening and inspiring I would think. I wonder if there is anything like that around here, I will have to investigate. Also enjoying your pics from Yosemite, I have not been there myself.

Thank you Wil, two times:) Most of these events seems to be okay for kids, but not for adults -so I'm glad I found the organizers of thesecreative events!
I thought your own pics of the spider web were just as good!:)

Pam,
So true -part of the delight comes in the sharing and togetherness!

Jane,
Sorry, I have no idea about Europe concerning these kind of art events! The mountains on the N-side, remind me on Switzerland (maybe you'll come there one time:) )
