DESSERT - TO MY HEART'S DESIRE

On last year's vacation I felt such a craving for dessert, that it drove me crazy.  Even more, because I had to wait a week. Yeah...the older I become, the less "delay of gratification" is considered a virtue in my world! So, when we did our groceries for urban camping this year, I made sure, cheesecake from Trader Joe was on my grocery list!
When hubby handed me the dessert, I called, "Clytie"!
"Huh?", asked hubby, while I ran to grab the camera.
Clytie, this is for you. My weekend is packed, so after Sunday, I'll figure out how to get on the Guest Hearts on your blog. Meanwhile, hope everyone gets dessert this weekend!

To my heart's desire!

I haven't had cheese cake in ages and my mouth is watering. I could really go for some now. I don't know if a decent one can be had here. I'd probably have to try and make it myself, but where to get Graham crackers.

So funny: my daughter has been reading dessert recipes aloud to me for a week. I finally broke down and made her a Lemon Icebox Pie, which is a cream cheese pie.

Enjoy your weekend...and your dessert!

Clytie,
Thank you for linking it, Clytie! You're welcome -your passion for hearts is so contagious, and you can see on the guest hearts that I'm not exaggerating:)

Irene,
Yeah, that one is hard to pass up...Sorry about the graham crackers. You could make it as a pie with a piecrust...?

Guerilla Girl,
Sounds like your daughter knows how to convince her mom:)
Hmm, I don't know lemon icebox pie -are you going to share it sometime? Let me know when and if you do!

Zuzanna,
It was heavenly (it would be in winter too, but fresh strawberries are not available then)! Thanks, I hope you had a relaxing weekend!

Rudee,
Oh you brave friend! That cake I never made myself, maybe because I'll may be disappointed about my own attempts and then have to eat it too!

EGWow,
Strawberries are a winner for many! Go to the store and buy yourself some!

Lady's Life,
Thank you friend! And maybe get a piece of cheesecake this week?

Jen,
After life comes the real royal dessert! (get the play on words? If you don't, let me know and I'll write you)

Susanna,
My hubby likes the cheese cake from Trader Joe the best of all! They used to be bigger, but you know, the last few years many items became smaller:)
Thank you - happy you liked the watercolor!

YEEEsssss. It is so much harder for
me to delay gratification - so
wild. When I was younger it was
a piece of cake [no pun intended]
to wait - now forget about it.
