VALENTINE KEYS

To me, true friendship is love.

My feelings change with every item on this love list from a passionnate "yes" to
"oh my,  I wonder how skilled I am at this?", to
"I know I'm seriously lacking in this."

The keys to love are

patience
kindness
love is not jealous
love is not envious
love is not proud
never haughty.
or selfish or rude.
Love does not demand its own way
 not irritable
or touchy.
Love does not hold grudges
hardly notices others' wrongdoing
Never glad about injustice
very happy when  truth wins
Love is loyal no matter the cost
Love means always believing in the other,
always expecting the best of the other,
always standing ground in defense of the other.
There are three things that remain:
faith, hope and love,
and the greatest of these is love.

by Paul, the apostle.

Ending on a more tong in cheek note:
the doc orders you to eat lots of chocolate today!

We had those words at our wedding so they are very dear to my heart. Love your header pic too. Happy Day!

The "Love Chapter" has always meant a lot to me. I paraphrased it to fit my life once. That's kind of fun.

And yes, true friendship is love.

Happy Hearts Day - lots of love to you!

Ginger,
To tell the truth, sometimes I avoid this list -it's not always easy to follow!

Patrick,
this kind of love goes beyond red hearts and pink bows:)

Reader Wil 2 times,
We round these keys in a garden shop a week before! At least this is simple and clear -I must tell him in heaven:)

Violetsky,
Oh you're so right there - sometimes I wished I'd never read it!

Monika,
Thank you! Beautiful and extremely difficult sometimes.

Jane,
Oh wow, getting married is memorable enough, but to have those words at your wedding is to put ice cream on top:)
I'll pass it on to hubby who shot that pic!

Clytie,
Always pictured you as someone who gives a lot of love. Hope you enjoyed that day too:)

Phivos,
Isn't it where the 3 Greek words for love became known? - fileo, eros and koinonia? (Hope I'm accurate on the 3rd one, lol)

Rosie,
Bravo! One chocolate a day keeps the doc away:):)

Kerri,
Thanks so much, friend!

Pietro,
Thank you -I'm all for that! (what you quoted)

Arabesque,
Thank you -your blog is inspiring as well (don't know how you keep up with them all)

Weaver,
Yes, the most important and the most difficult thing too (when one sees the number of divorces...)

Betsy,
Thank you, Betsy -hope you enjoyed that day:)

Vicki,
Thank you! I realized finally today that you have an etsy shop! Do you ever spin silk or silk blends? (am always looking for blends with less than 25% wool, since I'm allergic to wearing wool).

Happy belated Hearts Day!

Dani,
Thank you for the "follow." Went to your blog, and I'm still amazed about your travels!! We went for 9 days to Greece about 13 years ago, but we never got to the Northern part - since then I LOVE Greek food:)

How did you get to study Chinese?? Do you have friends who speak it -or for business?
