WATERSIDE DREAMS

The original photo of this little boy that I caught playing on the water side.
Lost in his own little world. Life is good!

Dreaming his own little dreams
but who knows, bigger than life dreams!

I cropped the original to focus more on the reflections
for Weekend Reflections, hosted by James.
Taken in the Huntington Library Gardens.

Beautiful photograph - so full of innocence and so full of dreams - how is it that we so often lose these qualities as we get older and become more aware of the real world.

Very beautiful.

What a super photo, the little boy is certainly lost in his own world - I wonder what his thoughts were?

Love both renditions of the cute little boy so deep in his own thoughts.

Not sure first comment made it so doing it over.

That's the beauty of watching a child in their own world. We have absolutely no idea how big - or how small - that dream world is.

lovely capture... the boy seems lost in a world of his own :)

To be young and filled with wonder of what surrounds us! I miss that... It's too bad life has a way of beating that sense out of us...
great photos!

Lovely composition! I always like pictures of children lost in thought.

Lovely candid moment and the reflections are beautiful!

His world, though small to fit his tiny body, is huge ... to fit his enormous imagination.

We all should expand our worlds until we are happy stirring a stick in the water and loving the universe we've created.

Weaver,
It's one of the sad things of growing up, that kids wake up in a world that's full of drivenness to success and greed and think (often encouraged) they have to be like that too.

Thank you, Dani:)
Enjoy your weekend!

Rosie,
Hopefully he had big dreams and good thoughts:)

Nitwit1,
Thanks -I couldn't choose which one, so I posted them both:)

Stephanie,
Kids learn from adults, but we in our adulthood can learn much from children:)

Rajlakshmi,
That was a complicated word, or is it your name, do you know what it means? Thank you, and also for visiting my blog:)

Patrick,
Filled with wonder...Yeah, too bad it would be hard to go back to that!

Pat,
Thank you for visiting! when I perused your blog I saw that you a very Dutch last name (from your hubby I take it?)
I and my hubby are both Dutch:)

Dear Jeannette,

Thank you so much. The panic was a week ago, the things are stabilizing a bit now(hopefully).
It was my mum that really was really scared. :)

Thank you so much for the care.
Have a sunny weekend.

Hugs,
Dani

Great shot of the young boy. You really captured that he was in his own world.

I love your header shot. That building in Balboa park is very striking.

Isn't it wonderful to sit and contemplate life in the sun and by the water?

Diane AZ,
Kids are sometimes the most natural models:)

Clytie,
That is a very poetic way of putting it:)

Dani,
That's a mother's job, lol. Am glad you feel better than I thought:) Take care.

Naturefootstep,
I'm not a boy, but it could have been me too, because my teachers always told my parents that I was a dreamer:)

Gattina,
Thank you, Friend!

Yogi,
Yes, I love the botanical building -one is outside, and inside at the same time:)

Arabesque,
Yes, sometimes I wish I could turn the clock back in time! Thanks, hope you have a great weekend too!

Woody,
Maybe you need to dream a little more?

EGWow,
Especially now that would be great since we had rain and clouds all week:) we're spoiled in California that way, lol!

Genie,
Thank you, oh to be a child again...

I love to see moments like that captured. In fact I love being captured in those moments myself.
