GOING FAST - FOR FUN

For Mellow Yellow Monday, For Ruby Tuesday, For Midweek Blues

Thanks to the hosts. And for Skywatch Friday, Weekend Reflection, please scroll down! Shadow Shots,
Scenic Sunday

We were admiring these cool bike tandems, since our party had too many to go on them.
This week is hectic for me, since I am preparing for a painting show at the end of the week. Wires on the back of the paintings to hang. Artist statement and descriptions for next to the paintings need to be made.

Finally, finally,I'm taking the opportunity to make my business card. Since all my info had changed, I needed a new one. Looking for the right design, thickness of paper, made me decide to do it MYSELF. Thankfully, hubby is up to it too, to print and cut them.

The upside is that he can print on demand of quantity, and won't be stuck with hundreds of cards when my info changes again. The background is a blurry version of one  of my paintings on ART NOTES. Did the lettering in photoshop. Is it a "go?"

What do ya think?

And when all work is done, I can dream of this:)
My niece and hubby, in their mid twenties, came to the States as the end  of their world trip, and shared their pics with us, and left them on my computer. This pic is from Australia or New Zealand (with their permission!). They were disappointed that it was raining in California (in Dec.), and she even had to buy a sweater, and he shoes to get around in the rain.

Those would be a blast! I can imagine riding through the streets with my hair flying :)

Me again. I forgot to say - Yes! I liek that card. The background is so unusual. Pretty - in a professional way.

I like the business card. it's pretty, and yes, very artistic.

I think you're brilliant as well as a good artist -- the design of your card is lovely. And it's smart to do it yourself and get what you want.

Your pink lily picture (on your header) is MUCH better than mine -- I kind of had a feeling I'd seen one somewhere, but it was the best one I could come up with for the flower post I wanted to do.

Love the business card.

And those tandems bring back memories of when we used to ride them at the Jersey shore with the kids when they were little. Sweet memories!

Kim,
Yes, I could see these tandems (or whatever they are called) in the Philippines!

Cafe au lait,
Thank you for visiting! Do you also write witty posts?

Stephanie,
Yeah, I can see your hair flying (good that it's short:) )
The background of my businessss card is one of my paintings (put it in photoshop for a certain effect:))

Rudee,
It could be a herringbone pattern for a scarf:):)

Sallie,
I'm blushing with all the compliments you heap on my head!
Your photo is good enough for a post photo! I have the fortune of having photoshop, to blow up the pics really big.
Six sheets of the paper I actually wanted for my business cards were $200! I almost ripped the phone out of hubby's hand, to ask them if they were out of their mind!lol!

Rebecca,
Kids grow up too fast, sigh!

Dianne,
Thank you, for your encouragement, Friend! Am glad that I'm not dependent on thee shows for my income, so I can show whatever I want:):)

Visiting from MId-week Blues. Love those bike tandems...but that photo of the infinity pool with the umbrella reflections is beautiful. Love the symmetry in composition.

It ticks all the boxes - your reflections of those white beach umbrellas are gorgeous!

What a shot! I love it!

Love that reflection shot! What a shame there were too many of you to use that tandem, it looks like fun.

Nice idea to use your paintings as a background for your cards. I might even write your name sideways to take up the left hand side to be even more creative and follow the almost vertical flow.
