What Will She Paint?

So many friends I met here...!

Z is for Zoe, the youngest of four, but a force to reckon with!

Her sister kept calling her that, when she was not even born yet,
so whenever that time arrived, Zoe became her name.
And so appropriate, because Zoe means "life." And she is a
hand full of it, as you can see in the pastel
I did of her when she was a toddler!

Am glad that her mom is a good disciplinarian, so I know Zoe
will turn out all "zoet"
which is the Dutch word for "sweet."

What a wonderful name story (I love hearing how and why people are named what they are). Do you have any idea how your older daughter learned about the name "Zoe"? It's so very pretty but, still, fairly uncommon.

Sometimes looks belie the real person:):) But she is very pretty!

She is very generous! But talk to her brother and sisters to find out...:)

Only a mom can put these two characteristics together:) She certainly gave me a lot of material to draw from (chuckle)

Thank you! The details are too interesting to keep it a secret:)

Zoe...beautiful name for a beautiful girl.
Your drawing is wonderful. Such acute detail, including the little folds in her arms. A lovely gift to cherish through the ages.
Awesome work!

Thanks for sharing.
