When it pertains to my children, I am rather nostalgic.
I kept the dolls of my daughter's collection.
Now the grand daughters play with them.
The lace tablecloth was crocheted by my mother.
I kept the little cowboy boots from my son when he was a baby, to give to his son. He actually wore them.
And the super nostalgic pic we had taken in Reno in early American clothes.I didn't take out the reflection of the lamp lights, because it adds to the vintage look.

I had to leave this bedroom in our old house, but we took this Dutch oak bed with us. The beds are lower because in Europe they have a mattress with inner springs (so you only have one mattress, not two like in the USA). But these beds hold up for generations.
The rest of my house is rather modern looking!

Beautiful dolls. I really like the antique photo of your family. Those are so fun. Had one taken many years ago as a young woman with my dog. Glad you still have space to display and enjoy the bits of the past.
These things do have sentimental values ... YOu keep and take care of them well, Jeannette. I wish I'd done the same with things from my childhood.

My mother loved dolls. I used to buy old antique dolls at flea markets, yard sales, etc. for her. She promised they would be mine after she died. I went home and they have all disappeared. No one seems to know who took them.

Great nostalgic photo and the cowboy boots are adorable! Lovely Dutch oak bed. Our 30-year old bed sits low compared to the new ones but I like it. :)
I love vintage things. I remember having a bed almost exactly like that one, with the single mattress. It was very comfortable. Nowadays we need a step ladder to get into bed. :-)

Thank you, friend! Sorry, I forgot what kind of dolls they were (I am scatterbrained that way- don't pay attention to brands). The pic with the vintage clothes was one of those crazy things you do on an impulse during a vacation!
