JUNE CLOUDS

~*~

For Midweek Blues

Last week I heard on the news that they were clearing the snow
on the roads for the summer visitors to come to Yosemite National Park.
That means that the snow still melting on the mountains like this
in the Northern part, that the waterfalls will have lots of water.
Last year  what we know as the green Meadows
were a brown slushy mess....in June!
That is California too, it seems:)

"Snow in June," 15 x 30 inch. Acrylic, St.Germain

Some years ago I did my own rendition in acrylic
(one of my rare acrylic paintings)
of another year that the snow was still melting in June.

Your painting is simply lovely!

IT DOESN’T TAKE AN OCEAN

It doesn’t take an ocean
Or a mighty sea,
A simple little raindrop
Is enough for me!

I also like the jewels
Scattered in the grass
After summer thunderstorms
Soak the earth and pass.

There’s also perspiration
Clinging to a nose—
A sign of honest labor,
Or so I suppose!

Wonderful, most wonderful,
Are the seven seas,
But give me downy snowflakes
Clinging to the trees!

I love your painting in acrylic, Jeannette. Maybe you should use it more often. It's a medium that seems to suit you well. XOX

Lovely painting rendition of a phenomena captured by photograph. Yosemite is a place I shall probably only see through your eyes.

Your painting is way more beautiful than the actual scene.

I'm not doing with painting at all, Jeannette. I've completely lost my taste for it.

Hi there - seems like more evidence that I need to organise another trip to the USA!

The next post with Jacarandas and bottle brush trees has a bit of an Australian feel - I've got both plants within 20ft of my desk!

Cheers Stewart M - Australia

Stewart,
Thanks for your visit! Haha, if you need evidence, I'll give it to you: the US is more than the Grand Canon, San Francisco, and New York -of course there's also Hawaii...

Thomas,

Naturefootstep,
