This is a thumbnail of the photo of Weaver of Grass
who gave me permission  to use  this photo that was
for some time as a header on her blog. I was mesmerized!
It reminded me of the time that as a young girl
I rode my bike
every day to school, the store, my friends...
in wind, in rain, in sunshine, beneath the clouds.
So I loved when there were tall trees beside the road.

In the beginning the tree trunks were just a few little sticks

But you can see with the reflection of the 3rd trunk on the right

I already made a mistake!

The colors of this painting were a cinch. 

Unexpectedly much more time was spent on keeping my ducks

(tree trunk, and tree crowns) in a row. 

For Sky Watch I'll have to say, painters call these "skyholes."

Weaving at dizzying speed

when I bike by

 trunks and crowns

waving with smiles

of contentment

What is the hurry

slow down your flurry

enjoy the shadowy leaves

after all we're in it for 

the fun of beating the sun

at its game and double up

in the reflections of the flow of water

On second look
I enjoyed every leaf, branch, trunk
I waved and smiled
for after all
next summer
the dizzying arrangement
of colors and mood will make me wonder
if I'm on the wrong road
